Our story
Wishing to counterbalance our hectic professional lives, we were looking for a “cocoon” in Gaillac that would allow us to recharge our batteries and welcome family and friends in a beautiful, natural environment.
Our criteria were
in the heart of the vineyards to enjoy the beauty of the countryside, with an open view for inspiration, very quiet for relaxation and with a vast wooded area to stay connected with nature while being close to the city for convenience.
After 2 years of searching, we found it !
Now it's up to us to ensure it’s preservation and to share its wonders.
As nature lovers, we’ll keep writing the story of our meeting with Les Hauts de Jeanvert.
Since our arrival
in April 2023, we have been committed to:
- improving the comfort of the site: new tableware, 4 brand-new fully-equipped kitchens, new garden furniture, 1OO% organic cotton bed linen with Oeko-Tex label ...
- reinforcing biodiversity: we have decided to use rational mowing methods, to take care of the trees, to plant new species that require little water and are adapted to climate change...

We want to work alongside local agricultural players: winegrowers, apple and olive oil producers, nurserymen, etc., and other creators of tourist experiences that will help people get to know and respect our region better.
We are delighted to be here, and to be writing with you a new chapter in this preserved area: Les Hauts de Jeanvert!
Tribute
We owe this place to Mike and Cheryl Ashburn & Mike and Mandy Hibbert.
These two couples of English teacher friends acquired this old farmhouse in 1999 to create a
vacation home respectful of traditional local architecture.
They created 5 cottages in the old stone house, the former farm sheds and the artist's studio.
We salute this renovation project, which was accompanied by a reforestation project using a wide
variety of tree species.
As a result, we can now enjoy magnificent natural surroundings and shady
terraces!
And now, we're taking over...
